RuxTB
I finally felt like making something for Trollbox again, so I made a trollbox client called RuxTB. I figured it was better to make another client with better code instead of trying to work on Trollbox-Electron, especially now that it seems the connection headers don’t need to be spoofed anymore.
Trollbox-Electron Status
Trollbox-Electron was removed from Github and closed-sourced because the only other contributor caused problems a lot more often than fixing them, if there is even anything they did well.
In general, they never asked me if I was already working on a feature or had work I didn’t commit yet before writing a PR and then complaining that I made a commit that conflicts with their PR. Their code was also written more like patches than code that would stay in the application, so I ended up rewriting it eventually most of the time. They also had a strange preference for CommonJS, which is being depreciated by more and more libraries. They tried to convert the entire application to CommonJS despite this for some reason.

Today, Discord has started issuing E-mails to people who have created bots for shapes on their account, deleting the shapes. The E-mails look similar to this:

After receiving user reports, we reviewed your Application and the Shapes, Inc. platform through which it is operated (Shapes). Based on this review, we have determined you and your Application have violated Discord’s Developer Terms of Service and Developer Policy.
Your violations include:
- Providing Shapes access to your Application’s tokens and other API Data, as prohibited under Sections 2(D) and 5(B) of Discord’s Developer Terms of Service; and
- Enabling unauthorized use of API Data by Shapes, including Section 21 of Discord’s Developer Policy (prohibition on use of message content to train models).
As a result, Discord has disabled your Application. In accordance with Section 5(B) of the Developer Terms of Service, if you’ve obtained any API Data in connection with your Application, you must promptly delete it. If you fail to do so, or otherwise attempt to operate another Application (as defined in our Developer Terms of Service) through the Shapes platform or share access tokens or other API Data with them, Discord may take further action (including by deleting your and your developer team members’ Discord accounts).
Discord uses automation and manual review to enforce our rules. If you think Discord has made a mistake in arriving at this decision, you can appeal by submitting a request here that includes relevant feedback and information that you believe in good faith is accurate and complete.

Trollbox Rainbow Script
I am releasing a userscript that I have created for Windows93’s Trollbox. You can download it here. It can let you say some restricted words, make your name rainbow, and automatically reconnect when you are disconnected. You should modify some constants in the script before using it, so that it uses your name and color.

Transition to Static Website Generator Finished
As of today, the website has finally moved to a static website generator and is now alive again. I tried to make one in Bash at first, but it got confusing, along with Bash not really being a good language. I used Hugo instead, which does have a hiccup here and there, but it was a lot better than trying to code my own.
